The upcoming 'Game of Thrones Season 5' is said to be marked by a lot of murders and bloodshed, US author George R. R. Martin said. The author further said that those who have read the 'Song of Ice And Fire' should not be too complacent as producers of the movie series are 'bloodier' than he is.

"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy. Everybody better be on their toes. [Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] are even bloodier than I am," the US author said at the Writers Guild West Awards on Saturday as reported by Huffington Post.

The news site hinted that Daenerys' handmaiden Irri, Walder Frey's wife Joyeuse Erenford and Qarth merchant Xaro Xhoan Daxos will be included in the blood bath in reference to the George R. R. Martin's comment a year ago.

There are also speculations that four would be killed in this season. However, Slashfilm said that it is not just four but five who will die in this season.

Slashfilm also has its list of possible characters in the death row including Jojen, Grenn, and Pyp who nearly got killed in the last season.

Despite such gory announcement, the news outlet speculated that filmmakers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will still comply to the book series' original ending.

"If you know the ending, then you can lay the groundwork for it. And so we want to know how everything ends. We want to be able to set things up," Benioff said in an interview last year.

According to Cinemablend, Season 5's spoiler on HBO showed that the upcoming season will be set on spring time and will talk about the fates of some characters including Tyrion and Aria who are both sporting a new look.

Game of Thrones Season 5 will start on April 12 this year on Sunday. This date also marks the debut of other series like Veep and Silicon Valley.
