Twitter has reportedly reached a deal with Google that will make tweets appear in Google search results, an outcome where tweets will have a larger audience than ever before.

According to a new report by Bloomberg, Google will make tweets from all 284 million users instantly searchable.

"In the first half of this year, tweets will start to be visible in Google's search results as soon as they're posted, thanks to a deal giving the Web company access to Twitter's firehose, the stream of data generated by the microblogging service's 284 million users, people with knowledge of the matter said Wednesday. Google previously had to crawl Twitter's site for the information, which will now come automatically from Twitter," Bloomberg reported.

According the publication, the agreement is a step forward in getting tweets seen by more non-users hence generating more advertising revenue from a larger mass. Twitter already provides data to Bing search and Yahoo! Inc. and the company recently announced a deal to show advertising in Flipboard Inc's mobile applications and Yahoo Japan Corp.

However the deal with Google is more significant, given the reach of Google world-wide. The search giant commands 75 percent of the web search market and is also one of the most trafficked website globally.

As there's no advertising revenue involved in the deal reportedly, Twitter will receive data-licensing revenue, which was $41 million in the third quarter, up form $16 million a year earlier.

No official responses have come yet from either Google or Twitter.
