Grammys 2015 Album of the Year: Who Will Take Home the Award?

With the 57th Annual Grammy Awards approaching, all eyes are on the biggest award of the night, Album of the Year.

The nominees who are competing in this category - revealed during A Very Grammy Christmas special that aired in December - include:

1. Beck, Morning Phase 

Morning Phase is Beck's 12th studio album. It was released in February 2014 and has been viewed as a "companion piece" to Beck's 2002 album, Sea Change. Several of the musicians who collaborated with the American artist in that album returned to record more music in Morning Phase.

2. Beyonce, Beyonce 

Beyonce's fifth studio album, Beyonce was released unexpectedly on December 13, 2013 on the iTunes Store. Beyonce is considered to an electo-R&B album that features themes about sex, relationships and monogamous love. Popular hits include "Drunk in Love" and "XO."

3. Ed Sheeran, X

Ed Sheeran released his second studio album, X, in June 2014. The album was an international success, topping off the charts in 12 counties within it first week of sales. It also charted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. In December 2014, the British singer-songwriter's album was named the most-streamed album in the world on Spotify.

4. Sam Smith, In the Lonely Hour

Fellow Englishman Sam Smith's debut album, In the Lonely Hour was released in the U.S. in June 2014. The album features hit songs, "Money on My Mind" and "Stay with Me," which were both number one singles in the UK. "Stay With Me" reached number two in the U.S.

5. Pharrell Williams, Girl

Girl is the second studio album released by recording artist and record producer, Pharrell Williams. The album was released on March 2, 2014 and by September, the album sold more than half a million copies. The album features hit song, "Happy," which is from the Despicable Me 2 Soundtrack. "Happy" has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.

The Grammy Awards will air live on Sunday, Feb 8 at 8 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
