Following the unexpected success of Disney’s 2013 film Frozen, the animated characters are making a comeback.

The filmmakers and original cast are all reuniting for a seven minute short film to be released in cinemas as the short accompanying the feature film Cinderella - in cinemas March 13.

The animated short will feature center around Princess Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell), Princess Elsa (Idina Menzel), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and the snowman Olaf (Josh Gad).

"The gang is back together. And literally it's like we never went away," Josh told USA Today. "Every day we're reminded of Frozen in our lives. So it feels like a continuation of a saga that has many parts still untold. It felt like coming home again after a short absence."

According to the report, the landscape of the Frozen kingdom will be completely different as it will not be warmer weather. The directors promise other surprises as well, but at its core, the new story will still keep the two sisters, Anna and Elsa, and firm support for one another, at its heart.

"We continue this story of these two sisters, who only had each other growing up together," says Josh. "They are still supporting each other. That's what this is about."

According to the report, the story will see a big change in older sister Elsa‘s attitude. She is throwing her sister Anna a big birthday party. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned, of course, and the powerful Elsa comes down with a nasty cold. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next between the two sisters in Frozen land.
A new song will be introduced from the husband-and-wife team of Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the creators of Let It Go.
