Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's marriage is said to be the subject of questioning lately with sources wondering if Kim really married the rapper for love and not for money and fame. Upon receiving his Visionary Award at the 2015 BET Honors this past Saturday, the hitmaker talks, in his speech, included to talk about his wife defending her against the 'gold digger' rumors.

"At the barbershop... I used to hear people always talking about, 'Man you know when an entertainer get on, of course you know he gon' go and get a white girl and blah blah blah and a white girl gon' get a rich black dude,'" the "Gold Digger" artist, 37, told his peers. "But I wanna say that my wife has dated broke black dudes. It got nothing to do with the money," the Yeezus rapper told the crowd.

The award-winning rapper then continued his speech talking about racism and how Kim had felt it too even when she was a kid. He remembered how Kim Kardashian's dad, the late attorney Robert Kardashian, experienced similar discrimination when he handled a big case like the O.J. Simpson murder case, according to US Magazine.

"She had never seen her father curse or get mad," West told the crowd. "He was the most laid-back human being. And he went so crazy and tried to chase the people down. And she's sitting there crying and was like, 'Dad, why you going so crazy?'" the rapper said.

The Only One rapper further continued to allude about Kim's dad saying he holds an important key to their marriage since he is the first one to foretell that the reality TV star will marry a Black man someday, E! Online said.

"One day, you may have a black child...a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful black child...and it's gonna be hard. You're gonna see how hard it is. So true enough, we deal with racism because there are different races. Or the micro of it is that we focus on the different races as opposed to the macro, which is the human race," he narrated.

The rapper capped his speech with an inspiring note about the importance of self expression.

"Our power, our oil-since we don't own any oil-our oil is our expression and our influence. Don't never let them take that away. And when we have a chance to express it and influence, don't only do it for us-do it for the human race."

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian talks about her relationship with her husband in an interview with Entertainment Tonight saying that she and Kanye get along very well and are 'obsessed' with each other.

"We stay home and hang out, we are truly obsessed with each other. We have the most normal relationship, if you can call anything about us normal. We have a really normal relationship and we are just happy," she shared.
