Mandy Moore Ryan Adams Divorced After 6 Years Of Marriage; Couple Kept Reason For Splitting Private

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have decided to end their marriage after six years of tying the knot in 2009, the couple's representative has first spoke to US Magazine about the split.

"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time," the representative told the news outlet.

The reason as to how the couple came up with the decision was unknown.

Back in September 2014 in a Melbourne radio interview, Buzzfeed said that Ryan Adams refused to talk about his relationship with his wife.

The musician said, "I just don't share at all about my private life."

The 40-year old singer-songwriter is said to immediately hang up after the DJ asked that personal question.

"OK, so I just hung up 'cause I was on the radio getting asked about my wife. I was really nice about it the first time, and I'm sorry, but I won't repeat myself. The deal is this: I'm a private person and I'll be a gentleman and say I'm not talking about my marriage ever. I'll never talk about it. Ever," he explained to Buzzfeed.

Mandy Moore, on the other hand, has provided clues about their marriage.

On November, the couple is said to be having a music collaboration on a new album. In an interview with E! Online, the Walk To Remember actress shared how she is feeling that time.

"Life, life is inspiring what I'm writing about and I don't know exactly what it's going to sound like quiet yet. But...I'm going to work with my husband on it and make it at his studio so his influence will be all over it," the singer-actress said.

In 2010, the singer has shared that she is happy with her marriage with Adams and the two get along well 'being homebodies'.

"I feel very supported and loved and at peace. My life has reached this really beautiful point where I can sort of look around and go, 'Wow. I'm so lucky.' I got my own little happy ending," she once said.

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams had their private wedding on March 10, 2009, in Savannah, Georgia. They have no children in their marriage.
