The old ABC family sitcom Full House is ready for a return, reports TV Guide.

Warner Bros. is planning to bring back the much loved Tanner family with some of the original members game for a rerun.

Actor John Stamos, who played the much loved Uncle Jess, is pushing for  the show to come back. Others from the original cast who might be a part of the show are Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy). Bob Saget (Danny) and Dave Coulier (Joey) are "involved in some way, " reports TV Guide.

Executive producer Bob Boyett and creator Jeff Franklin will also be involved in the revival of "Full House.

The sitcom ran from 1987 to 1995 but was cancelled after eight seasons due to issues with production costs.

A rerun of the show on Nick at Nite has garnered a 7 percent ratings boost since it started the sitcom. The show has been attracting viewers both in the teenage and 18 to 49 age group, reports Fox59. This is seen as a strong enough reason to go in for the revival.

The sitcom story centred around a widower raising his three children with the help of his family and friends. The present series will probably focus on present-day families of Stephanie and D.J. with some additional family help, reveals Screenrant.com

After Full House was cancelled it became more popular and went into syndication. It still runs in 11 countries.
