Yolanda Foster, a cast of the TV show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and David Foster's wife, recently updated her blog since December updating her fans about her health condition as she struggles with Lyme disease. According to E! Online, the 51-year old actress-model announced that in recent weeks she' has lost the ability to read, write and watch TV.

In her blog post, she explained that she has been struggling with Lyme disease for three years now and has been very open to a variety of treatments from antibiotics and the latest breakthroughs in medicine. Still the model said that, despite her efforts, she has only recovered 60% from her normal health until that major health attack on December which explains why she is out from the recent season of the TV show.

"I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter. It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it," she further said.

According to the Daily Mail, the actress first aired about her disease in December 2012 on Twitter saying she is infected with Neuro Borrelia Lyme disease, in which transmission is said to be from tick bites. If gone worse, the disease can imperil the heart and the central nervous system.

In a 2012, interview, the actress expressed her frustration for the lack of cure even in the most advanced nations in the world like the US which prompts her to travel and consider other medical options.

"The most frustrating thing is that there is medical data on Lyme and spirochete infections going back all the way to 1908, but yet we still don't have proper diagnostic testing, a vaccine, or a cure for Lyme disease while we are living in the United States of America, the most extraordinary country in the world," she said.

Still, the fashion model expressed high hopes that she can find a cure to her Lyme infection. As quoted by Fashion Style, Yolanda said:

"I keep reminding myself that I was given this task for a greater purpose...to make a difference not only for myself but for all my fellow Lymies suffering some form of this debilitating disease that we know so little about," she wrote.
