The world of education has drastically changed in recent years. So many platforms allow teachers to plan their teaching schedules, and there has been a substantial increase in eLearning platforms for children. It has become important after the pandemic that there are means to teach children even when they are home so that they do not miss out on their studies. For this reason, many AI platforms have been created over the years.

ExpressVPN's blog post states that the need for an Artificial Intelligence Bill of Rights is needed to reduce AI bias. However, despite obvious issues within AI platforms, they are a requirement in today's time. AI has increased the possibility of doing menial tasks faster and more efficiently for users. This reduces the time required to do heavy tasks while providing high-quality work. Not only that, but AI has also paved the way for the automation of many tasks that were not easier to perform earlier.

What Is eLearning

The idea of providing lessons to students through online platforms does not seem far-fetched anymore. Many eLearning platforms allow teachers to create lessons for their students with little work. These platforms allow teachers to gather study materials from various credible resources to provide better content for students. eLearning has become a necessity in recent years, allowing students to easily enroll in courses to access study material from the comfort of their homes. The eLearning market is estimated to be worth over 315 billion dollars in 2023 and is expected to continue growing.

Pros And Cons Of eLearning

There are multiple advantages and disadvantages to eLearning based on various aspects. Even though eLearning facilitates students to gather more study material, it also increases the source material for them. The concept of eLearning is heavily beneficial for people who can not join regular teaching programs due to work or time constraints. This flexibility allows people to do courses in their own time and at their own pace.

It is also easier for students to clear any doubts online with the help of various platforms. Additionally, it is easier for them to assess their knowledge of a topic with the help of real-time grade assessments. This help students understand their weak topics so they can work more on improving them. However, for now, eLearning software has yet to grow to a point where it can assess subjective assessments. This limits tests to a subjective assessment and many complex topics are left out in this manner.

Even though eLearning is quite beneficial for students, there are some debates about its efficiency. First and foremost, there is no way to ensure that the work or assignments are being done by the student only. Not only that, but students can also seek help from the Internet to solve their assessments, making it easier for them to score well. Many people are also skeptical about eLearning because it can only culminate theoretical knowledge in students. It is not practical to completely depend on eLearning, as it restricts the growth of real-world skills required daily.

How AI Facilitates eLearning

Even though there are some advantages and disadvantages to eLearning, advancement in AI is heavily facilitating the growth of eLearning. Here are some ways AI is helping with the growth of eLearning and making it more efficient for teachers and students.

  • It has become easier for teachers to grade assessments and assignments with the help of AI. Even though there can always be some faults with this method, grading homework and assignments has never been easier than this. Neural networks allow AI to grade complex exams as well.

  • There has been a substantial increase in the number of online tutoring software. This software helps children learn in real-time. This hands-on approach to teaching facilitates a better understanding among students, making it easier for them to learn.

  • AI also allows eLearning to be more accessible for students globally. With multiple languages available on online teaching platforms, it has become easier for students to understand concepts. Not only that, this improved access to eLearning has helped extend the domain of learning among students as well.

  • Teaching practices have also improved due to AI. AI allows teachers to come up with proper teaching methods for individual students. Artificial Intelligence facilitates adaptive learning methods so that each student can learn things at their pace without feeling rushed. This provides an equal chance for all students to learn new concepts.

Conclusion

The field of AI is still going through changes and developments. However, from what we have seen so far, Artificial intelligence is more useful than initially expected. AI is being used in multiple fields these days. The technology also facilitates eLearning by allowing teachers to create immersive study plans for their children. AI also allows teachers to create fun study materials for children so that they are more eager to learn about certain things. Even though people are skeptical about the efficiency of eLearning, it is hugely beneficial for the growth of students.
