It's that spooky time of year again! And why should the kids be the only ones having fun? It's time to plan an awesome Halloween party and invite all your friends.

Never planned one before? Keep reading for helpful tips on how to plan the perfect Halloween event that adults can enjoy.

Start With the Food

Everyone loves good food - especially if it's themed to match your party. But instead of making the food yourself, consider ordering it from The Food Dudes - an amazing catering company. They can deliver a number of delicious food options for your event so that you don't have to stress at all about it.

Working with your caterer you can come up with delicious Halloween-inspired food ideas like:

  • Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Dip

  • Spaghetti and "Eye" Meatballs

  • Avocado and Wasabi Spider Eggs

  • Witch's Fingers

  • Brain Rice Krispies Treats

  • Poison Toffee Apples

With your caterer's help, you're bound to impress your guests with quality food made by professionals who really know what they're doing!

Pick Your Decorations

Your decorations will set the mood for your Halloween party. If you want a laid-back, fun event, go for decorations like the ones you can find at the dollar store. String up pumpkin heads, place cobwebs in the windows and on the ceiling, hang up plastic bats and spiders, and maybe add some skulls here and there like on the tables.

Don't forget the front yard - you can set the mood of the event by adding gravestones, spooky lighting, and even some motion-activated decorations like a witch who laughs every time someone passes by.

If you prefer your party to be more sophisticated, consider theming it like a haunted house, witch's cabin, murder mystery, or even off of the Harry Potter series (or another book you are a fan of). You could even make it a fancy costume party and ask everyone to come dressed like they are attending a costumed ball.

Whichever Halloween theme you choose, select your decorations (and music) carefully so that they match the theme and really bring out the ambiance that you are looking for.

Don't Forget Your Party Basics

If your party catering doesn't come with utensils, plates, cups, and napkins, then you'll have to make sure to pick these items up before the event. You wouldn't want to have to use your own items that could potentially break during festivities or leave you with a ton of dishes to do afterward.

Also make sure you have ample amount of seating and rent chairs and tables if you need to. This of course all depends on how many people you plan to invite to your party.

Speaking of which, don't forget to create a guest list and send out invites at least two weeks before your party. This way you'll be able to get a sense of your numbers and plan out how much food and other items you'll need to host the perfect event.

All things considered, a Halloween party is much like a regular party - except with the added bit of theming it. With these suggestions, you should be well on your way to planning the perfect event for you and your friends!
