She was delivering pizzas in DeKalb County, when an armed man cornered her and ordered her to the ground. But she fired back, as she had her gun, and shot the man on Sunday night, according to ijreview.com.

Donquaz Devon Stevenson, one of the suspects, was identified nearby with a gunshot wound on his face. He was also arrested and charged with armed robbery, as the DeKalb jail records show. Another suspect soon left in the delivery driver's silver 2000 Honda Accord.

As ajc.com puts it: "... companies like Papa John's have done the cold, hard analysis and have determined that is is cheaper to deal with drivers injured or killed in robberies than it is to deal with the possibility of litigation if one of their employees shoots someone and the company's policies allowed them to be armed."

What makes the issue more contentious is that delivery robberies as well as deaths are becoming rampant. A US pizza delivery person is actually facing a dangerous job. Last month, there were reports of a shooting death of an unarmed delivery man and another woman paralyzed by a shooting.
