'American Gods' Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update; How Do Gods Live In The Modern World?

"American Gods" is the latest TV series on Starz. The series is adapted from Neil Gaiman's contemporary novel.

According to a report, "American Gods" tells of a story about the Old Gods against New Gods. The story focuses on Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), an ex-con who becomes a bodyguard and a travel companion to Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane).

Mr. Wednesday is a conman since he is actually a deity that wants to gain glory and build his army in "American Gods." The two travel together since Mr. Wednesday is on a cross-country. The series is written by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green in reference to Gaiman's novel in 2001.

A report indicated that American Gods will have its world premiere on March 11 at the SXSW. Neil Gaiman also hinted that the series will be on Amazon Prime after its broadcast. Aside from McShane and Whittle the series also stars Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber and Crispin Glover.

Additionally, "American Gods" includes Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley and Orlando Jones. Jonathan Tucker and Betty Gilpin are also part of the series. The storyline of the series will be filled with mysteries unfolding as the story moves on.

Meanwhile, "American Gods" will have eight episodes and will air on Starz on April 30. The world premiere for the series on SXSW will also include a Q&A with the cast and crew. There is a new key art that has been released for the show.

"American Gods" will explore the lives of gods in the modern world. There will be twists to the story especially that Mr. Wednesday is travelling with a purpose in the upcoming series. Shadow Moon will eventually learn what he is and they two may form a bond together.

Fans can expect "American Gods" to be filled with surprises. For the ones who read the book may also discover how close the work is to the story in the book.
