"Prison Break" Season 5 is set to return and the latest trailer has been aired during the halftime of Super Bowl 51. Netflix has a part on why the series is coming back for the fifth season.

According to a report, the last time that the series was aired was in 2009. "Prison Break" Season 5 is confirmed and shows Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) in prison. The upcoming season of the series will pick up from when the previous season ended.

Recently, during the halftime of Super Bowl 51, a new trailer has been revealed for "Prison Break" Season 5. Dominic Purcell who portrays Lincoln Burrows in the series shares that it was not hard for Miller and himself to get the series back and running.

The latest trailer that has been revealed for "Prison Break" Season 5 does not show if Michael is safe or not. It has been hinted that Michael is in prison in Yemen and getting out can be dangerous. He is believed to have died in the previous season but the upcoming season indicates that he is alive in a foreign land.

The trailer for "Prison Break" Season 5 also reveals Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and her son with Michael. She is already in a relationship with another man and is surprised to know that Michael is alive. The trailer also gives a glimpse of how Lincoln came to Michael's rescue.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Netflix has helped revive the series. It seems that "Prison Break" is the most watch series on the streaming service. This has been one of the reasons why the show is being revived.

There are more escapes to be done once "Prison Break" Season 5 airs. Michael is joined by his mates from the previous season and they all work together in order to get him out of prison. The series airs on April 2017.
