"Vikings" Season 4 concluded recently and a surprising death had been delivered. It seems that the sons of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) will be divided on the upcoming season of the series.

According to a report the finale episode of "Vikings" Season 4 had Ragnar's sons unite with only one goal. They avenged their father's death towards King Aelle (Ivan Kaye). In the end Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen) killed Sigurd (David Lindstrom) and this has been unexpected from the other brothers.

The show's creator, Michael Hirst shares about the events that happened in the series. He notes that Ivar is in a very special position even if he killed his own brother in the finale episode of Vikings Season 4. In fact, it is indicated that Ivar grieves the death of his brother once the fifth season kicks in.

In the meantime, at the end of Vikings Season 4 a new character comes in. Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is a young bishop warrior who will be a recurring character in the next season. However, there have been several characters that passed away during the battle in the last episode of the fourth season.

Floki (Gustaf Scarsgard) on the other hand may continue to go on his path as a seer. Almost all of his loved ones are dead. The last one is her wife, Helga (Maude Hirst) in "Vikings" Season 4. Sigurd bid goodbye and Ivar will eventually be more powerful in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, there is no official air date yet for Vikings Season 5. However, it has already been officially renewed. There is a new character to expect once the fifth season begins. Heahmund has been introduced in the fourth season's finale and he will be back on the fifth season.

The sons of Ragnar will be divided in "Vikings" Season 5 especially that they have different beliefs on how to rule. The story of Ragnar's sons continue once the series returns this year.
