'Outlander' Season 3 Spoilers, News & Update: Two New Characters To Be Introduced; Who Is Jaime's Confidante?

"Outlander" Season 3 is already on the production stage and there are already several hints on what the season is bringing in. There are also other characters coming in for the third season and this includes Jaime's (Sam Heughan) confidante.

According to a report, there are two key characters to be introduced in "Outlander" Season 3. Gary Young will portray the role of Mr. Willoughby. He is a Chinese man who knows a lot about Eastern medicine. He also becomes Jaime's confidante in the upcoming season.

Captain Thomas Leonard will be played by Charlie Hiett. He is the captain of the Artemis who is not so experienced yet has been promoted because of the untimely deaths of his commanding officers. Captain Thomas takes his job seriously in "Outlander" Season 3.

"Outlander" Season 3 is still in production on set in Scotland for the upcoming scenes. It is reported that filing started in Scotland on August 2016 and the production will move on to South Africa this coming March 2017.

The story of "Outlander" Season 3 starts after Claire (Caitriona Balfe) returned to her life in 1948. She is pregnant as she moves on with her life together with Frank (Tobias Menzies). Jaime on the other hand is left in the 18th century trying to survive the Battle of Culloden.

Meanwhile, it already has been reported that Jaime and Claire will have a reunion in "Outlander" Season 3. They are speculated to meet again at a print shop with their daughter Briana (Sophie Skelton). The couple will also face challenges in each of their journey from their own lifetimes.

There are also other characters that Jaime will meet as he is recovering from the wounds during the battle. It is hinted that he will know the Dunsany sisters in "Outlander" Season 3.

"Outlander" Season 3 has already filmed 13-episodes and is set to air this year.
