Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) continues to seek more power over Kategatt in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 16. It is speculated that Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) is dead when he was thrown over the snake pit in the previous episode.

It can be recalled that Ragnar had been badly tortured by King Aelle (Ivan Kaye) in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 15. Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen) has been sent home by King Ecbert (Linus Roache) only to find out that his mother, Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) has been killed by Lagertha while they were away.

In the upcoming episode of "Vikings" Season 4, Ivar is likely to take revenge for his mother's death. He may take it on Lagertha. In the meantime, Ragnar may not be able to come home, to Kategatt anymore right after being tortured by King Aelle.

There already has been a report on the reunion between Ragnar and King Ecbert in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 14. This has been the time that King Ecbert presented Ragnar to King Aelle. This episode also had been the downfall of Aslaug as Lagertha killed her during their battle for the throne of Kategatt.

Meanwhile, Ivar is to come face to face with Lagertha in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 16. This episode may be filled with revenge from Aslaug's son. Lagertha already won the battle to get Kategatt and still continues to seek for more power as the season moves along.

There are speculations that a surprise attack is to happen in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 16. It may be bloddier as Aslaug's sons get to know who killed their mother. Now that Ragnar may be dead, the people at Kategatt need to continue without him.

Lagertha's extent in gaining power is unpredictable. She may do more to have it in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 16. The episode returns on January 4, 2017.
