Another game developed by Blizzard Entertainment, who's also the developer of four of the most played games - Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft. The series has sold over 24.8 million copies worldwide as of May 30, 2012 and several books relevant to the Diablo series were published as well.

Diablo 4 is one of the most anticipated game sequels in the next few years. But it's probably not going to happen anytime soon because of Diablo 3's Rise of the Necromancer DLC expansion arrival next year, which fans are excited about. This expansion aims to bring the classic titular character once again.

Diablo 3 has been around for years, still one of the most liked video game and still strong on the market today. Blizzard is yet to have plans to work on another high-budgeted game, thus, the reason why Diablo 4 isn't coming anytime soon. Blizzard Entertainment decided to focus their work on Diablo 3, the current version of the game series, as they are planning to add fresh contents, which is expected to arrive next year. "There was so much raw content to build off to bring Diablo 1 over, it made sense to do it," as per Senior Producer, Julia Humphreys.

Because of the success of Diablo 3, many fans were given renewed hope that Diablo 4 is coming. However, it was indicated that it could also take few years, all we know is that Blizzard will unveil them at the right time. Diablo 4 is coming, just expect it not happening this 2017 or maybe the year after next year. For now, the sequel Diablo 4 will remain a mystery as Blizzard declined to make any comment on its development.
