Sony Interactive Entertainment's highly-anticipated game "God Of War 4" is said to feature alternate gameplay paths as per the latest reports regarding the game. Despite multiplayer not being an option for the game, alternate gameplay paths is a good enough consolation for some.

In a previous report by News Everyday, it was mentioned that multiplayer gameplay would not be possible for "God Of War 4" despite having two characters present in the game's teaser. For those who have seen the video, Kratos, the game's consistent main character is seen with a child by his side. The latter sparked rumors that "God Of War 4" might just be a multiplayer game, with one player controlling Kratos, and the other controls the child. However, these rumors were slammed when several reports claimed that "God Of War 4" lacked the potential for multiplayer.

The impossibility of multiplayer may come as a disappointment to some, however, it seems that there is a consolation at bay. According to Ecumenical News, "God Of War 4" may feature alternative gameplay paths considering the gameplay footage that was basted in the recently concluded E3 event in June.

Moreover, the possibility of Kratos' son being Thor gets stronger. It was observed in the video that the location Kratos and son were fighting in strongly resembles a Nordic land as rumors suggest. According to the same report, the location that the popular RPG game is set now is far different from the usual ancient Greece setting fans are accustomed to.

In addition, a report from Jobs & Hire claims that Norse mythology may be added to the storyline of "God Of War 4." Kratos' son is said to be blessed with abilities similar to that of the Nordic God of Thunder, Thor.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has yet to release any official release date for "God Of War 4." Fans were hoping to get a release date for the game in PSX 2016, however, the developers were a no show.
