Dragon Quest XI Game Director Takeshi Ichikawa, Scenario Writer and Designer Yuji Horii, and Producer Yusuke Saito released a lot of coverage from the game during a panel at Jump Festa. This time there's plenty to see!

PS4 vs. 3DS Versions. Square Enix's Dragon Quest XI will be a standalone RPG, unlike Dragon Quest X which was an MMORPG. The game will be the first of the Dragon Quest series since Dragon Quest VIII to appear on a PlayStation platform.

The casino will return but will include different features between the PS4 and 3DS versions. Both the PS4 and 3DS versions will be available by retail and a digital download version in Japan.

There was included gameplay which reveals the ability to ride horses in the game. However, the horse riding will be made exclusive to the PS4 version.

Gameplay, Characters, Maps, Other Features. The game will be set in a world called "Lotozetasia." The game's nameless hero is a boy that grew up in Ishi village until he decided to go on his own epic adventure when he turned 16 years old.

The game will only offer a single player game mode but there will be other main characters such as Camus, who is the blue-haired thief that the hero encounters while traveling. Camus actively helps and supports the hero, providing him with knowledge of the world and guidance.

The trailer was also revealed, opening with a cutscene from the game. There was no other mention of the Nintendo Switch version, which was earlier rumored, and the Japanese release date of the game was broadly set in 2017.

What's even more interesting is a new teaser site was also opened which can be found here. The website features a copy of the map, the opening movie, a view of the characters, and some gameplay scenes.
