Gamers all know that Steam Winter Sale 2016 is officially going to debut on Thursday next week, December 22. What they don't know however, is what games are going to be part of the promo, and how far the discounts would go. Valve usually doesn't promote Steam Sales, keeping its mouth shut on their promos start dates and the games that would get discounted during the event. However, rumors about the Steam Winter Sale run high and it seems like a list of games that could potentially get marked down during the event takes part in the ring as well.

According to a report by The BitBag, a few AAA games will be seeing good discounts during the 2016 Steam Winter Sale. This includes the Witcher III, an open world action role-playing video game with excessively beautifl graphics, and Doom a first person shooter video game. Word also has it that Dark Souls III may take part in the sale as well when it comes around next week.

Valve may also include a few other games that it discounted during the Autumn Sale 2016 in its Steam Winter Sale like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Quantum Break, and Sid Meier's Civilization 6. If they were put on sale once, there's no reason to doubt that they might be put on sale again, so gamers better get ready.

Tech Plz has also listed down other games that may join the Steam Winter Sale next week, even going far as trying to predict the size of the markdown these games may get. According to the site, Battlefield 1, EA Dice's recently released first person shooter may get a 14% discount during the Winter Sale along with Titanfall 2 by Respawn Entertainment.

Batman:Arkham Knight is expected to see a price knock off going up to 50 percent during the Steam Winter Sale while Watch Dogs 2 gets knocked down by 20 percent. Games like Gears of War 4, Elder Scrolls Skyrim Special Edition, NBA 2K17, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Gears of War 4 have also been included in the list, however there are no specifics on how much the discounts for these games would go.
