2016 BBC Music Awards' Big Winner Adele; Did Not Show Up During The Event?

Adele,  the 28- year old English singer and songwriter once again ruled the 2016 BBC Music Awards as she won  two major awards, the Song of the Year for her popular hit track 'Hello' and the Album of the Year for her long playing 25. But to people's surprise, Adele did not appear on the said event  to get her awards. 

According to https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-38289915, Adele also won the Best British Artist and best Live Performance in which she was still not able to attend. The said singer was on a holiday due to a series of tour she had for the year.In behalf of Adele, Robbie Williams took the floor to receive the leading award which is the Album of the Year; LP 25.

In accordance with https://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/entertainment/20161214/adele-big-winner-bbc-music-awards, Williams read out a message that said, 'Thank you for this award. I feel a bit bad winning it as the album has been out for so long. But nevertheless, you know I love you. Always have and always will.

'I'd just like to say congratulations! Adele, it is an honor to accept this award on your behalf. It is a beautiful album and you are an incredibly a deserving winner, also an amazing mom. She's an incredible mom. The hardest working mom in showbiz. I Love you, Adele. Congratulations!', Williams added.

Furthermore, Geri Horner was also there and was the one who accepted Adele's for Song of the Year, Hello. 'I'm so sorry I'm not there and I can't wait. It's been a long year on the road and this makes me feel a little less homesick. I can't wait for Wembley and can't wait to get back to normal!', said Horner in behalf of Adele.

Elsewhere in the show, Coldplay was also an absent winner yet received the BBC Music British Artist of the Year. Fans were also able to witness stunning performances from top artists including the 1975 while Robbie Williams impressively ended the show with his song.
