Ed Sheeran has taken a hiatus off social media for one year. Fans have been waiting for the "Thinking Out Loud" singer's comeback and it seemed like their long wait is over. Ed has just silently come back to social media by changing all his profile photos into a plain blue image on Tuesday, December 13.

The "Photograph" singer has changed his Instagram, Twitter and Facebook profile photos to a plain blue image announcing that he's back after taking a break last year, as reported by BBC. Ed's fans were so glad and welcomed the artist back by posting comments on the photos, and were even guessing what his upcoming album's title would be.

Songwriter Amy Wadge, who has been working with Ed, said in an interview that the "Thinking Out Loud" singer will soon break the internet once they release his newest album. However, the songwriter only said that the new album will be released soon and did not give any other specifics about the album, though she said that the album is already done.

Back in December 2015, Ed has made an announcement on Instagram that he will be taking a break from social media. And though the announcement has disappointed his fans with the announcement, he promised that he will be back by autumn and left with news that his third album is on its way and said that it was the best thing he has made so far, Billboard reports.

According to Mirror, the "Photograph" singer also explained that he had explained he was seeing the world through his screen and not his eyes, and had to take a break in order to travel the world without having anything else to do.

A few months ago, Ed's fans were thrilled to see him perform for a children's hospice as he has promised, but with a scar on his face, which also broke the internet before, after getting cut by a sword.
