"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 is on hiatus for the Christmas holidays. However, it seems that the Legends will be in for huge adventures come 2017. Please continue reading below for some new scoops and spoilers on what may happen as "Legends of Tomorrow" returns next year.

In the exclusive "LOT" teaser promo released for the CW app, a sad Sara Lance was seen with Jefferson Jackson who was trying to cheer up the current Waverider captain, BleedingCool reported. The report claimed that Sara may be upset because the Legion of Doom captured Rip Hunter. It remains to be seen how the Legends could bring Rip back but "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 spoilers suggest that the former captain will definitely come back.

A report from Cinema Blend suggested that the return of Rip in the lives of the Legends will strange as he will be a "thoroughly changed man" according to actress actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers who plays as Vixen. It was already teased that Rip is alive and he is somewhere in Los Angeles in 1960s. The new episodes might explain why this version of Rip has an American accent and currently directing a Sci-Fi movie based on his life as a Time Master.

Meanwhile, "LOT" fans were also hyped to see the comeback of Leonard Snart also known as Captain Cold in the series midseason finale. Though some viewers were reportedly disappointed that he only appeared as Mick Rory's hallucinations, reports claimed that Captain Cold will still appear on "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. No details about his guesting have been revealed yet, however.

"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 will return with a new schedule every Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST. Episode 10 of "LOT" air date is set on Jan. 24, 2017. In the meantime, tell us what you think about the return of the former Waverider captain on "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2.
