An "Overwatch" player got victimized by a computer glitch as he ended up having negative thousands of credit points instead of what he originally had. However, even though it wasn't the creator's fault, Blizzard still found a way to help him out.

"Overwatch" Player Makes Complaints On Losing Credit Points And Loot Boxes In The Game

A certain "Overwatch" player that goes by the username Kaleptik made a major complaint on his game as he noticed that something was off. Upon checking his credit, his in-game currency dropped down to negative figures, as opposed to his true credit which was a 5k currency. Kaleptik managed to unlock every game during the Summer Games event to which he earned and bought 300 loot boxes all in all. However, he suddenly notices 100 more loot boxes appearing and disappearing as he continues on with the game. He found it strange since he knew he did not purchase any more loot boxes than those that he currently has.

Blizzard Offers Help To Said Player Even Though The Mistake Was Not Made By Them

After a while of those loot boxes that constantly appear, he decided to put off playing the game for a while and to come back a few days after. When he returned, that's when he discovered that the length of his mischief only got bigger even when he stopped playing. He then noticed how some of his bought or earned items were being locked and his in-game currency went down to an amount of -42,535. As he posted his story on Reddit, someone from Blizzard got into contact with him and had such great kindness to help Kaleptik with is problems.

Paypal And Microsoft To Blame For User's Unfortunate Occurrence

Thus, the Blizzard employee offered to look into the problem personally. It was then discovered that it was a mistake done by Paypal and Microsoft as well. It was recorded on Paypal that the user had been issued a chargeback, but was automatically reversed upon the knowledge that no such thing should have occurred. However, the reversal was not reflected in the Microsoft data, thus resulting to him losing the credits of his game. In the end, Blizzard credited Kaleptik with 500 loot boxes instead of his original 300, in replacement to everything that he lost. All in all, "Overwatch" is an easy game to play but hard enough to master through and through.
