Nintendo is about to release its new mobile game "Super Mario Run" which already has 20 million people waiting to be notified of the release. Apparently, the game is only available for iOS devices, and Android users are waiting for their shot.

In a previous report by News Everyday, it was revealed that "Super Mario Run" is already looking at promising numbers even during pre-release. Developers are already expecting to earn more than $71 million during its first month with 50 million downloads. Moreover, the game already has 20 million people who signed up to be notified when the game is finally available for download.

The upcoming Nintendo game has built quite the hype for itself as fans wait for its release date, however, recent reports claim that there is a limit to the awesomeness of "Super Mario Run." According to Game N Guide, the highly-anticipated game requires the player to be connected to the internet constantly in order to play. Some fans may find this new update to be quite a wet blanket, since some may not be able to connect to a stable Wi-Fi connection or internet plan 24/7.

The reason behind "Super Mario Run" requiring a constant internet connection is to ensure that the game is safe from piracy. Moreover, the three game modes that are offered will encounter problems in offline mode. It is worth mentioning that Nintendo opts against creating games that are not under their full protection, hence the decision to make internet connection a requirement to play.

Moreover, "Super Mario Run" is slated for release in 150 countries, meaning each would have their own network. Making the game secure is definitely a top priority with such a massive player base.

"Super Mario Run" is free to download, however, in order to unlock advanced levels, the player would have to pay $10. It seems Nintendo's goal is to make the "Super Mario Run
an equivalent of their console games. With that being said, many players are expecting an Android release as well as reported by VG 24/7. Apparently, the game will become available for Android after its iOS launch.
