Josh Holloway of "Colony" is very excited for the fans of his sci-fi thriller series as it returns to the small screen. In an exclusive sneak peek, he talked about what will the fate of his character, Will Bowman, will be in the next season.

The "Colony" series was set in a near-future version of Los Angeles which is under the rule of alien invaders who have designated human Collaborators to assist them in maintaining order and eliminate rebellion.

In the Mashable sneak peek of "Colony", his character, Will Bowman, will have his journey on cooperating with the Collaborators in order to try and find where his missing son is. Even as his wife Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies) was seen in the exclusive sneak peek to be working with a member of the Resistance, which is unknown to her husband.

Holloway notes that the "Colony" themes feel timely in its second season. According to him, the nature of a dictatorship, which seems to be getting more plausible, gets darker and scarier as time progresses.

He also pointed out that people that are involved in the scenario that are just trying to survive that dictatorial government inevitably gets dirty.

He also added that they have suppressed or have been suppressed by each other since the time's inception.  These thoughts posed by the USA series "Colony" are current and on everyone's mind now especially what is happening right now in America.

In the sneak peak, it looks like Will and Katie will start their own rebellion in order to save their son and to break away from the systematic oppression of the government. With the chaos ongoing because of government control, will they able to survive?

The tense meter just got higher in the new sneak peak. Can Will and Katie save their son and fix their falling family? Find out when "Colony" returns for Season 2 on Jan. 12 on USA.
