Apple Has Updated To iOS 10.2: Includes New TV App And New Emoji

Apple iOS 10.2 was launched in September 2013. Now Apple has released iOS 10. 2 to the public with a second major update which was under testing since October 31. Seven betas were seeded to the developers and public beta testers.

As a new 10.x update, iOS 10.2 introduces new features along with design tweaks.

The New TV App

The TV app will serve the purpose of Apple-designed TV App, Mac Rumors reports. The television watching experience shall be simplified and the users will be able to discover new TV shows and movies for the sake of entertainment.

Users may also witness the sign on feature which will allow cable subscribers to sign in with all their cable credentials to access all the cable content available with various apps. The facility of single sign-on is currently available for GVTC, Century Link Prism, GTA, Dish and Direct TV. Users can avail the Single sign on and TV app on multiple devices including Apple TV.

Hundred New Emoji's

Along with TV app apple's iOS 10.2 brings many new Emoji's like face palm, fingers crossed and shrug. The beloved butt is also retained by Apple which was initially redesigned in the iOS 10.2 beta versions C/Net reports.

The iOS 10.2 Is Free over the Air Update

It is free over the air update and iOS 10 users can download it via iTunes as well. The TV app is comprised of four sections including Store, Library, Search, and Watch Now and of course there is the single sign-on feature.

Users can now continue watching the show from where it was left. This is possible through the watch now feature. There is no doubt that the app was designed for the big screen on Apple TV but it offers similar functions on iPhone and iPad as well.
