Muhammad Ali, dubbed as the greatest boxer of all time, is getting a documentary by HBO and it is already in production.  HBO is collaborating with LeBron James and the director of "Training Day," Antoine Fuqua, to create a life documentary for the world-renowned boxing legend.

The documentary will come from LeBron James' and Maverick Carter's Springhill Entertainment and Antoine Fuqua's Fuqua Films. James, Carter and Fuqua will serve as part of a team of executive producers.

The Cavalier's star athlete, like the late Muhammad Ali, is one of the most influential athletes of all time and certainly of this generation, and like Ali, James is not shy to use his exposure in the limelight to empower people and create positive change on the world. According to an article in Daily News, James explained that Ali paved the way for all athletes of all gender and race that came after the boxing legend, including James himself. That is why James considers it an honour to be working on the documentary.

The documentary is still in the early stages and does not have a title as of yet. It will explore the life struggles and career glory days of Muhammad Ali. The film will feature both cinematic remakes of Ali's life and his moments in the ring but it also gives a preview of his private life never before seen on film.

Ali's family estate is in collaboration with the production of the film. The documentary will show private archival footages of Ali's life stored in the collections of Ali's family, relatives and others. The legendary boxer passed away last June of 2016 after a final bout with Parkinson's disease.

The project will be produced by Sean Stuart and it will be written by Steven Leckart.
