The biggest social networking site to date never seems to stop thinking of how it can develop more. It has been recently announced that Facebook will be tweaking some of its features. The feature specifically pertains to the live video options of the said site.

It has not been that long since Facebook introduced Facebook Live. Facebook Live is the feature in the said social networking site wherein users can stream videos of live events and whatever else that can be streamed. When the Facebook Live feature started, it had the simple lengthwise dimensions wherein watchers can comment and show reactions real-time.

The recent Facebook Live update saw noticeable and convenient tweaks wherein the quality of the video is not compromised anymore when viewing. The comments and reactions also now overlap with the video, which makes way more room for the video, maximizing the screen size. And now, Facebook has announced that it will be making more upgrades to the said streaming feature.

Facebook personnel, Supratik Lahiri, product manager, and Chetan Gupta, software engineer announced recently that Facebook will be launching a new upgrade that will broaden the streaming features. According to Lahiri and Gupta, Facebook Live will now finally incorporate the 360 Video and will become Facebook Live 360. This feature will be launched on Dec. 13 at 3pm (ET) with the National Geographic going live from the Mars Desert Research Station facility which is situated in Utah. The said feature launching will cover the emergence of eight space scientists who were placed in isolation from humanity for 80 days to simulate the life on Mars.

Lahiri and Gupta further stated that the first Live 360 will also cover the interview of the said space scientists. They explained that Live 360 will give users an immediate and authentic window through Facebook wherein they can see what is happening real-time in every corner of the world right now with 360-degree angles. The update is planned to be released to the public in early 2017.
