AMC's "The Walking Dead" capped off the first half of its tragic and heart-rending season with episode 8 titled "Hearts Still Beating" ironically, on an exceptionally positive note. This, however, does not take away the thrill on how Rick (Andrew Lincoln), who is now reunited with his team, finally decides to rise up against the merciless leader, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

It is, at last, time for the alliances from Alexandria, as well as The Hilltop, to take their stand against Negan and the Saviors. After a season of submitting themselves to the oppressive territory, AMC is assuring the viewers that Rick will take the lead this time and recreate their communities, reports Screen Crush. Rick will also approach King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and The Kingdom, where he will reunite with Carol (Melissa McBride) and Morgan (Lennie James), to plead for help in taking down the Saviors.

AMC released its first trailer for 2017 on "The Walking Dead" series. Besides the insurgence of the communities, a mysterious watcher is seen in the post-credits, who shadowed Rick and Aaron (Ross Marquand) from the supply run lake back to Alexandria Safe-Zone.

Several predictions as to who the mysterious individual might be were presented by Cleveland, including Saviors Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Simon (Steven Ogg), Alexandrian supply runner Heath (Corey Hawkins), King Ezekiel himself, a group of survivors called The Whisperers who disguise themselves with zombie skin as part of their survival strategy, or a new character who will introduce a new thrill to the survivors.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirmed his reappearance until the eighth season of the franchise, hence more action and suspense are being looked forward to with Negan and his team of Saviors as a result of the uprising. As reported by Fansided, the thriller action series will release its ninth installment titled "Rise Up" on Feb. 12, 2017.
