Fans of the Tekken franchise are still waiting for the release of Tekken 7 for all the different platforms, but they have to wait until sometime around 2017. So far, Bandai Namco has only been announcing the characters that will be coming along for the game, and a new announce trailer showcases classic fighting bears Kuma and Panda.

Tekken players will remember that though the two characters are different, Kuma and Panda basically operate as the same character, just with different skins. By the looks of the trailer, however, it seems that the developers have added a few moves to the individual characters. Panda now has moves that are very reminiscent to that of Xiaoyu, and Kuma also has a special attack that lets him whack enemies with a fish. It's still unclear on whether these are just animations made specifically for the trailer, but the clips seem to seamlessly transition into a regular fighting round.

Aside from bringing back a lot of classic characters, Tekken 7 will also be introducing a handful of new playable fighters as well. Reports have spotted new faces like Caludio Derafino, Josie Rizal, Katarina Alves, Shaheen, and Lucky Chloe. Another Mishima is also said to join in the ranks named Kazumi Mishima, and a new robot character will also be introduced called Gigas.

The new character that probably stands out the most is that of Street Fighter's Akuma who will mark the first transition of a Street Fighter character to the Tekken game mechanic. Tekken characters have crossed over to Street Fighter back in 2012 with Tekken x Street Fighter, but now fans will get to enjoy a more realistic movement from the villain Akuma.

No official release date has been announced for Tekken 7, but fans can expect the game to come out sometime early next year.
