Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition Can Now Be Played On PC Via Xbox Play Anywhere

Microsoft and Iron Galaxy have announced that Xbox Play Anywhere program now offers Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition for Windows 10. Previously only for Xbox One, the Definitive Edition will include all content introduced to the brawler since the its vanilla release in 2013.

On top of that, all stages, characters, behind-the-scenes footages that give detail to the history of the artwork and franchise will also be featured. Killer Instinct Classics (1 and 2) are also included, the games were said to be the "faithful recreation" of their original counterparts, according to a blog at Xbox Wire.

Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition Benefits

This version of the game will feature every Killer Instinct fighter. That would be 26 in the roster including remastered cast and original fighters like ARIA and Hisako. Arbiter from Halo, RAAM from Gears of War, Rash from Battletoads will also appear as special guests.

In terms of battleground, all 20 stages will be playable. They will be visually upgraded and lighting is also improved. This would create improved fighting grounds to compliment Killer Instinct's brutal nature.

Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition will also include Killer Instinct Classic 1 & 2 for Xbox One. Special features such as every song in the KI archives will also be in the package. All character trailers, concept artwork, interactive universe map, and more features are also thrown in.

This version of Killer Instinct is priced at $39.99 via the Windows 10 store. Those who already own the Xbox One disc can download the game for free on Windows 10. Trailer for the game can be seen on the video below:
