No franchise in gaming has made its mark like Super Mario Bros., and developer Nintendo is planning on releasing the first Super Mario game on mobile devices called Super Mario Run. In a special segment in "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," President of the American branch of Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aimé lets Jimmy Fallon have a go at Super Mario Run, and what's more, he lets Fallon play Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario Run is said to come in three playable modes, them being World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder. Kingdom Builder allows players to customize their own special kingdoms in the game, while Toad Rally lets players go up against other people online. The mode that Fallon tries out in the show was the World Tour, and it looks pretty much like the classic Mario platformer where Mario jumps around collecting coins and avoiding enemies.

The Star Power option is also available in Super Mario Run, and aside from making Mario invulnerable to enemies, it will also "magnetize" coins toward him, making collecting them easier throughout the level.

It's also interesting to note that Fallon was playing the game while Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario and several other Nintendo games, was sitting in the audience.

After Super Mario Run, Fallon was then asked to try out The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch. It looks like the game will be harkening back to the classic gameplay of Ocarina of Time.

Rumors, however, have come out that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won't be able to release on the same time as the Nintendo Switch as the developers are reportedly having a hard time localizing the game for other platforms. Fans will just have to wait and see for the Nintendo Switch release on whether the rumors will turn out to be true or not.

Fans will be able to try out the demo for Super Mario Run in select Apple stores today, while the Nintendo Switch is said to be hitting shelves come March 2017.
