'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Release Date, Cast, News & Updates: First Photo of the Movie Released Plus More Story Details!

Hey there, Marvel fans! Can't wait for the first official trailer of Spider-Man: Homecoming? The trailer is on its way but first, get all geeky with the first image released by Marvel. The first official photo of Spider-Man: Homecoming starring Tom Holland was officially uploaded thus Thursday, ahead of its first trailer release.

What does it look like? Click hereIn the photo,  Peter Parker can be seen looking afar with a running New York train behind him. What is he looking there? The city? Or other Avengers having a fight? Viewers first saw the new Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War earlier this year. Parker was tagged along with Stark's team against Captain America after he tried to protect Bucky.

Not only that the photo was exclusively released by USA Today, they also got some new story details about the movie. Those Marvel fans who want to experience all the details on the big screen, they might want to stop reading.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be a coming-of-age story focusing on Peter attending the high school for gifted kids and trying to impress his benefactor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). He is still struggling to get back to his normal life after his first epic superhero battle. That is what director Jon Watts (Cop Car, Clown) bared.

Co-producer Eric Hauserman also unveiled that Peter Park went to Europe with the coolest clique of them all. After that, he is back with the academic decathlon and the mathletes would be confused, he added.

Unlike the previous Spiderman franchises starred first by Tobey MgGuire then Andrew Garfield, Homecoming will not discuss the pre-Spiderman part of how Peter will get his powers. This one would focus after the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Holland said that the movie is where Spider-Man is not a finished article. He really does learn and he makes massive mistakes. "It's nice to see a kid do that and then try to rectify those mistakes", he said.

Joining him in the movie is Zendaya, Donald Glover, Michael Keaton as the villain and Marisa Tomei as (the way younger) aunt May. Spider-Man Homecoming will hit the theaters on July 7, 2017.
