"T-Mobile Digits" is found to be a great feature for the mobile subscribers that enable customers to use one number for all devices they use. The feature will be available to the carrier's mobile users exclusively but can be used in other network locked smartphones as well and it works on a mechanism of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) service and identity management layer.

The new T-Mobile Digits is considered to be the reply of the carrier to AT&T's NumberSync feature. It is always found that most of the users are using multiple smartphone devices, tabs etc. and are finding the difficulty of using multiple numbers for each device. The new functionality is expected to remove such confusions and there are options to use multiple numbers in a single smartphone device using T-Mobile Digits.

The latest feature of T-Mobile Digits is made available in beta version for customers from Dec. 7 to before making it available to everyone from early 2017. "Users would be able to make calls, access call history, text message on whichever device they want,' company said in a press release. "By just logging into the T-Mobile Digits from PCs, tabs, smartphone etc., users would get connected to their numbers"

The T-Mobile Digits feature is useful when a user forgets to carry the smartphone, loses the phone or the battery is out of charge among others., as he can access the number from other devices. However, the beta version is found to be not working with Apple's iMessage. Users have to switch it off before they can start using T-Mobile Digits. People who are fans of Apple's message app would find this quite disturbing.

The T-Mobile Digits that gives the option of one number for all devices, is working well in the lines of AT&T's NumberSync and Google Voice. As of now, the beta version is only available to people who have a postpaid account with T-Mobile but the phones should be minimum Android 5.0 or iOS 9. The users can download T-Mobile Digits app from Google Play or iTunes store and start using the feature after signing up for beta participation.
