Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto" is one of the most successful and popular franchises in the gaming industry. According to reports, the anticipated "GTA 6" might be set in London. Is this possible?

Reports are rife that the next installment of "Grand Theft Auto" will take place in London, England. Per Mobi Picker, the franchise has been set to London in the past, thus, it is likely that this may happen again.

The report added that the "GTA" franchise sometimes revisit the cities that it once featured. However, the report added that the publishers already addressed this and it is unlikely. But why do players want "GTA 6" in London?

The report notes that the police officers in Britain do not carry guns. Only a select few are allowed to carry weapons in the U.K. Thus, having "GTA 6" set in London might pave the way for a new gameplay on how Rockstar will handle police in their games.

On a side note, even before "GTA 6" is released, there are already talks about "Grand Theft Auto 7." Per OppTrends, chances are high that the "GTA" franchise will yield more iteration in the future. Thus, gamers can expect "GTA 7." However, the title is still several years away. The report notes that it might be released in 2022.

There are speculations that Rockstar Games might finally introduce their first female character in "Grand Theft Auto 7." Aside from this, the title will cover a huge territory as it will not only be set in America but in the whole world.

"GTA 7" could be available for Sony PS, Xbox and PC. In addition, the title might also be released for Android, iOS, PlayStation, Dreamcast, Fire OS, Game Boy Color, Microsoft Windows, MS-Doss, Nintendo DS and more.

Meanwhile, for those who are still playing "GTA 4," the title just got it first update after 6 years on PC, GameSpot reported. However, the report notes that the title is one of the first worst PC ports of all time.
