Fans are anticipating the upcoming update for “Pokemon GO” as Niantic has teased a lot of new features to look forward to. It has then been reported that the update will most likely be released on Dec. 8 even if Niantic still has to make an official announcement. The speculated release date was concluded when a fan noticed one huge event.

Apparently, Starbucks updated its website promoting the mobile application, “Pokemon Go”. According to the official site, the world of Pokemon Go is about to expand with new Pokemon and a new Starbucks beverage. It further stated that Starbucks will be collaborating with Niantic to release the latest update for “Pokemon GO”. The joint event will feature a new drink.

The new drink called “Pokemon GO Frapuccino” can only be obtained through Starbucks Pokestops or Gyms. This further means that every branch of Starbucks in the United States will be registered as a Pokestop or a Gym. It has not been announced or clarified whether the said update and promotions will also apply outside the United States.

“Pokemon Go” is a location-based augmented reality game where players can collect, battle, and train Pokemon and even take over gyms against players with the help of their teammates. The update is highly anticipated as some have said that the latest patch will include legendary monsters and even a new player mode. Aside from that, it has been said that this update will finally solve the problems of players living in rural areas or areas that have slow internet connection.

There is even a rumor that the patch will also include a Tamagochi-like feature wherein the player can hatch, train, and nurture a Pokemon towards its adult form. The trading system, which fans have wanted for so long, will reportedly be part of the update. The update, no matter how much of it is true, has made fans eager to play the mobile game again with new adventures awaiting them.

“Pokemon GO” has been hailed as the biggest game of the year after millions have downloaded and played the mobile application. Make sure to check out the update with Starbucks on Dec. 8.
