The video game segment of online retailer Amazon has teased fans of the popular console NES Classic Edition that a "couple of exciting announcements" are coming this week. This development follows the move of Toys R Us and Urban Outfitters to make the Mini NES available. However, both retailers' stocks were wiped out after few minutes of release.

Though this announcement from Amazon remains unclear, the gaming community and crazed shoppers are expecting more shipments of the NES Classic. Amazon is definitely restocking the Mini NES in response to the rampant sellouts of the retro gaming console across the U.S. and other parts of the world.

Last Sunday, Toys R Us unleashed the NES Classic at its stores across the country as part of the retail chain's Big Christmas Sale to run between December 4 and December 10. Yesterday, fashion retailer Urban Outfitters sold the Mini NES online. Both retailers' supplies were gone in minutes.

Amazon's announcement is another respite for buyers who are dying to get the NES Classic. Huge demand for this gadget has resulted in very limited or no supply at all. Resellers and scalpers took advantage of this situation by commanding inflated prices online.

It was reported in the third week of November that Amazon is slowly getting stock of the Nintendo NES Classic. Several items were made available but due to astronomical demand, they are gone in moments. It was rumored that its website crashed during the NES Mini's launch on November 11, 2016.

For those who cannot wait for Amazon's huge NES Classic announcement, they can consider deal hunting forums on FatWallet.com and BfAds.net where stock developments on Nintendo NES Classic are updated. They need to sign up to get quick notifications from these sites.

GameStop locations are also reportedly restocking of NES Classic Edition. This has been confirmed by the website Nintendoeverything.com, which announced that some stocks on hand are available since November 30. See the video below that shows Amazon's server crashing during the launch of the NES Classic.
