There are several rumors lingering about the Nintendo Switch, especially since its release date is just around the corner. Moreover, it is as if the console is meant to go head to head against Sony's PlayStation 4.

One of the most relevant factors that will tip the scales when the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 are compared is the price. There are rumors that claim the Nintendo Switch will sport a cheaper price tag.

According to Express, It is likely that the Nintendo Switch will have a $249 price to match that of its main competitor, Sony's PlayStation 4. Moreover, Nintendo would not be able to raise the price any higher than $299 to match the likes of the Xbox One S since the specifications are not on par. Apparently, the Nintendo Switch only has a Tegra chipset, which is the main reason it is not in the same league as the Xbox One S.

In addition, there are other claims that the Nintendo Switch will have a price range between $199 and $299, with a slight chance that the price would go lower that $200. If that would be the case, the console is sure to run out of stock extremely fast. However, the above are mere speculations by analysts that are also eagerly awaiting official news about the Nintendo Switch.

As per Tech Advisor, Nintendo will release official announcements regarding the Switch during their Tokyo Event on January 13, 2017. So far, all that is known is the release date which is March 2017. Fans will still have to wait until early next year for the list of playable games and price for the console.

However, there are several rumors that claim the game list for the Nintendo Switch has been leaked. According to Game N Guide, the Nintendo Switch will have games such as "Splatoon," a renewed version of "Mario Kart" and the most controversial of which "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."

Fans still have a few months to go before getting their hands on the Nintendo Switch, while the big reveal on its game list and price are only a month away. Stay tuned to News Every Day for more updates on your favorite consoles.
