Toothless and Hiccup's next adventure will take a little more time to get off the ground. Unfortunately for the fans, Universal has pushed back "How to Train Your Dragon 3" one year, from 2018 to 2019. Clearly disappoimting fans who have been waiting patiently for it.

With a year of pushback, the release of How to Train Your Dragon 3 will be just in time to mark the fifth anniversary of the second "How to Train Your Dragon". This is already the third delay for the movie. It was originally going to be released on summer 2016. In 2014, it was postponed a year to 2017.

After that, it was postponed again to 2018. It is believed that it was affected by the massive round of layoffs at DreamWorks Animation. "How to Train Your Dragon 3", which stars the voice of Jay Baruchel, has moved from May 18, 2018 to March 1, 2019. At that release date, there will be a competition of other handful high-profile projects including Captain Marvel (March 8) and Godzilla 2 (March 22).

The "How to Train Your Dragon" films have been spaced out overall, with a four-year gap between the first two films and a five-year gap between the second and third movies. Writer-director Dean DeBlois promised that it would still bring quality that the fans loved.

Even though it's been long enough now, DeBlois promised a story that has already morphed and evolved. Fans  of "How to Train Your Dragon"can't surely wait for more details will bring them more clues during the two-and-a-half year wait of the third sequel.

Meanwhile, the studio has also set a date for Everest, an animated Yeti adventure from Oriental DreamWorks. It will be released on September 27, 2019. The film will be directed by Tim Johnson, co-directed by Todd Wilderman, and written by William Davies. It follows a group of young misfits who discovered a Yeti named Everest. They will try to return him to his family at the highest point of the world.
