It looks like a lot of gamers are still hoping to see Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

When Rockstar Games finally let up the jig and announced that it really was working on a Red Dead Redemption sequel, the videogame developer confirmed that the open world Western videogame would be coming to Xbox One and PS4. The original Red Dead Redemption was also denied a release on PC while Rockstar Games focused on distributing Sony and Microsoft's gaming consoles, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Since then, PC gamers have been hoping that the videogaming developer would at least try to send out a version of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, and it looks like they're not giving up on the dream.

PC gamers have set up a petition online to ask Rockstar Games to rethink depriving the PC platform of the Red Dead Redemption sequel, and so far the petition has gotten more than 47,000 supporters to sign.

The petition letter in the campaign reads: "The PC gaming community requests you to consider releasing Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC platform. We have always supported you and loved your marvelous games over the years. Please do not deprive us of enjoying your beautiful games, as you did with Red Dead Redemption (2010). This will be an injustice to your fans if you do not bring Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC this time.

We hope this open petition will encourage you and your respective authority to consider our plea."

While Rockstar Games still hasn't given any word on whether it would be releasing "RDR 2" on PC, it looks like gamers can now enjoy the original "RDR" videogame on PC through PlayStation Now. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony announced that it was letting PC gamers get a taste of the original open world Western videogame along with "Undead Nightmare" in its PlayStation Now library.

Red Dead Redemption is being made available on PlayStation today, Tuesday, Dec. 6 while Red Dead Redemption 2 is being lined up for release in Fall 2017.
