Since Nintendo released an official statement about reviving the Nintendo NES Classic earlier this year, nostalgic memories have surfaced for each and every fan who have played the console 30 years ago. With the Nintendo Mini NES and NES Classic's Release, millions of fans lined up outside retailer shops just to get their hands on the system.

These classic gaming consoles are miniature versions of the groundbreaking NES. It takes fans back to their childhoods when arcade games are in their peak back in 1985.

With today's technology, it is easy to get a thousand different games online. However, the classic games that started it all are a rare commodity. Games like Donkey Kong, Balloon Fight, Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, PAC-Man and more are what started it all.

Which is why there really is no question that within a few hours since the NES Mini and NES Classic was released, it was sold out in every retailer store. Some might argue that this is a marketing tactic by Nintendo.

These days, fans are still waiting for these classic gaming consoles to be restocked. However, there are several selling and/or auction websites such as eBay, Amazon, and Craigslist which sells the console for $200 and above.

This is an obvious rip-off for the fans, as the serial retail price for each console only costs $59.99. The company itself, Nintendo, warned the public about purchasing the NES Mini and NES Classic from scalpers online.

As a precaution, fans are advised to think twice before purchasing from scalpers as it could be a scam. In their website, Nintendo released a statement advising fans to be smart when making an online purchase.

Engaging in a shady online purchase might result in identity theft, fraudulent use of one's bank accounts, a virus infection on your computer, and losing money. In the statement, Nintendo said:

"Nintendo Classic is not more important than your personal life and financial security. Evade shady websites, don't fall into the trap of temptation. Be patient and you will win at the end of the day."
