Selena Gomez, one the of the hottest young stars in this generation, has added another feather in her cap - Instagram's most followed celebrity for 2016. She may have a love-hate relationship with the social networking site but it cannot be denied that she's the most popular for this year. 

Selena Gomez  shares everything on her Instagram account -  her whereabouts, the latest man in her life, the clothes she's wearing even her shoes down to  her emoji and feelings for the day.  One of her most liked photos is her latest vintage hair cut that gained her a million like from her avid followers. 

The online world has been conquered by the actress.  Everything about the young American star, Selena Gomez seemed to be worth following and this is proven by over 103 million people following her posts. Because of this, she is Instagram's celebrity for 2016. 

"Selena Gomez" surpassed the "Keeping up with the Kardashian" representative, Kim Kardashian. Not even Ariana Grande nor Taylor Swift and Beyonce came close. Her rise to fame skyrocketed this year gaining over 42 million followers amidst her turning back on the limelight for some time.
