People are raging over the resurfaced 2013 video interview of Director Bernardo Bertolucci wherein he admitted that the rape scene on "Last Tango in Paris" is not a mutual decision. The idea of not doing the rape scene based on the original script is Marlon Brando and agreed by Director Bertolucci.

The rape scene of the 1972 erotic drama film "Last Tango in Paris" was taken between a 19-year-old actress Maria Schneider and 48-year-old Marlon Brando that time. Marlon Brando died on July 1, 2004, while poor Maria Schneider died regretting in making the film "Last Tango in Paris" on February 3, 2011.

On a 2007 interview with Maria Schneider, she tackled one of the issues on the "Last Tango in Paris" rape scene. After the scandalous role in the film, she never did again the same role in different movies because Maria doesn't want to be known as a Sex symbol. When Maria is doing the rape scene with Marlon she shed real tears because she felt humiliated and a little raped. What's the worst? Neither Marlon nor Director Bertolucci consoled her.

Maria suddenly became more famous but the movie took a toll on her doing bad things such as doing drugs from pot, cocaine, heroin and LSD. Maria also admitted she didn't enjoy being famous so she tried committing suicide but failed. Until she found her girlfriend on 1980's that changed her life, in her last years she only wants to meet with friends and cook but not using butter just olive oil only.

Regardless of what happened, the Director doesn't regret shooting the rape scene though it made him felt guilty for not telling about the butter. "I wanted Maria to feel, not to act, the rage and humiliation. Then she hated me for her whole life," the Director said in the 2013 interview.
