BlackBerry was the "it phone" of the 90's and the early 20's. Since the giants such as Samsung, and Apple became a trend, the lights of BlackBerry slowly fade away. This time, images of the new BlackBerry phone surfaced the internet. The new phone code name is called Mercury.

To recall, BlackBerry CEO John Chen confirmed that the company is in the works in creating a new smartphone. Although the allegations are as of the moment not confirmed, a Chinese social media site revealed the information for the new BlackBerry Mercury. The website is called Weibo, and it is considered as one of the major sources for all leaked information.

The new BlackBerry Mercury will run in Google's Android operating system instead of its custom-made BlackBerry iOS. The phone will also feature a prominent qwerty keyboard in a mid-size display. According to TrustedReviews, the new BlackBerry phone seems to incorporate a lot of Apple's feature such as front camera, and front-firing speaker grill on the top.

Rumors about the new BlackBerry Mercury is that it will run on 2.0GHz Qualcomm Chip, 3GB RAM, and 32GB phone storage. According to the same source "The primary rear-facing camera is tipped to have an 18-megapixel resolution, while the front-facing secondary camera could clock in at a very conventional 8-megapixel resolution."

Meanwhile, Weibo discussed that Blackberry Mercury's appearance incorporates BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition design. It will include 2.5D glass with four full keyboards and a virtual three-button. It will also possess a fingerprint reader, a full keyboard space bar, and a general home key.

Is this BlackBerry's final goodbye? Although this information is all rumors, viewers must take this issue with caution until BlackBerry official announcement will be released. Furthermore, this is not the first time the company faced such allegations.
