Taylor Swift is pulling all the right strings. Forbes released a 2016 list of the world's highest-paid musician and guess who landed the No. 1 spot. Taylor Swift tops Forbes new list and the pop singer is only 26 years old.

Just last month, Taylor pulled off her music with streaming music services like Spotify because she believes that her music is significant and rare to just give it for free.

Amidst series of controversies, not to mention the most recent news of her breakup with 'Thor' actor, Tom Hiddleston, issues did not stop Taylor from writing new songs for her and other musicians.

According to Forbes, attorney Lori Landew of Fox Rothschild said that not only she is young, poised and beautiful but Taylor swift also always gives her fans all out performances and conveys with solid music. "She appears to be particularly well-suited to handling the pressures that her lifestyle presents. When you put this all together, you have a recipe for enormous success," she added.

Taylor Swift, now 26, sold millions of copies and earned just about $200 million in North America alone and a quarter billion dollars worldwide from her 1989 album which in fact also gained 3 Grammy awards and exceeded Rolling Stones' record. Taylor's 1989 album included top charting hits such as "Shake It Off", "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood."

Apart from that, her earnings do not only come from her music but also from massive endorsements, particularly giant companies like Keds, Apple and Coke. Other than Taylor Swift being on the list of the highest-paid musicians of 2016, the top grossing boyband One Direction that is currently having a time off came in second-place with $110 million.

Followed by Adele who came in third, her album 25 contributed to her success with $80.5 million. Next to the list, are female artists Madonna and Rihanna who ranks fourth and fifth respectively, reports from Telegraph.
