AT&T DirecTV Now Vs. Sony PlayStation Vue Vs. Dish Network Sling TV: How They Compare Based On Cost, Compatibility & Features

With 3 streaming options to choose from including the most recent AT&T's DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, and Sling TV, companies face tougher competition while customers won't have to settle for less. But how do they compare?

Sony PlayStation Vue. PlayStation Vue is by far the most expensive content streaming service between the 3 options. But, it is the only provider that offers CBS, and until recently, the only one that has cloud DVR which stores recorded content for 28 days.

Packages of PlayStation Vue costs at least $29.99 monthly with over 45 channels including ESPN, Fox, CNN, Kiro 7 and TBS to name a few. The $34.99 monthly package offers more than 60 channels, $44.99 monthly for 90 channels, $64.99 monthly for 90 channels plus HBO and Showtime (HBO for $15 per month and Showtime for $10.99 per month add-ons)

PlayStation Vue is available for online streaming on Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast, Apple TV, Apple iOS, PlayStation devices, and Android.

AT&T DirecTV Now. AT&T is the most recent company to introduce new content streaming service. DirecTV Now has a lot of perks including unlimited streaming on mobile via AT&T, and a myriad of channels and on-demand content.

DirecTV Now packages start at $35 monthly for 60+ channels, $50 monthly for 80+ channels, $60 monthly for 100+ channels, and $70 monthly for 120+ channels. Cinemax and HBO are available add-ons for $5 each monthly.

Compatible platforms of AT&T's DirecTV Now include iPhone, Apple TV, iPad, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, Android, Mac, and PC.

Dish Network Sling TV Sling TV is the pioneering content provider that started the cord-cutting trend. Offering the cheapest streaming service compared to the previous 2 options, starting package Sling Orange costs only $20 for more than 30 channels, Sling Blue for $25 with 40 plus channels, and Sling Orange + Blue package costs $40 which includes all channels.

Sling TV has add-ons, too, starting at $5 monthly including kids, comedy, Spanish, International and $10 for Sports including NFL Red Zone. For $15, Dish Network's service offers HBO and Starz. Cloud DVR feature of Sling TV is currently under the beta program and might be rolled out in the coming months.

Compatible platforms work on Sling TV including iOS, Amazon Fire, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Channel Master, Chrome, Xbox One, Safari, Google Chromecast, and LeEco TV.
