Fans of the popular Final Fantasy XV have been sharing their tips and tricks all over the internet in playing the game. These tips range from playing the tutorial to paying attention to character dialogs.

Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy installment, Final Fantasy XV had just been released worldwide. For fans who managed to snag a copy and beat the game, they took it upon themselves to post tips and tricks for players who are having a hard time finishing the game. There's a lot of things that players can do while playing Final Fantasy XV according to Kotaku so it's best to explore all the options available.

Play the Tutorial

Most players, when starting a game, they tend to skip out on tutorials. In playing Final Fantasy XV, it's highly recommended to go through the tutorial. It teaches players the basics of FFXV's gameplay as well as the lore behind the game.

Talk to Locals

NPCs or Non-Playable Characters can be found all over the world of FFXV. They are the source of information regarding the game's progression or the story of the world of Eos. They're also the source of free items such as food, items and money. Talk to most (if not all) of the NPCs in FFXV. They may give players crucial information that they may need in their quest or offer missions in exchange for valuable items.

Some of the quests from NPCs are too generic and tend to bore players. Over time, like any other RPG game, these NPCs may offer quests that are worth the trouble of going through. These quests may offer valuable rewards as well as rare items that players may need in their future runs.

Stock up on items

In every RPG game, it's always a must to carry different items. From restorative items such as potions to powerful equipment, they are crucial in every player's journey. For FFXV, it's highly recommended to stock up on potions and Phoenix Downs. These restorative items will prove useful when dealing with strong foes along the way. When the entire party gets knocked out in the middle of the fight, the Game Over screen will pop up and it may teleport players back to their last save file.

Inspect Everything

In FFXV, there's a lot of "interactables" all over the world. "Interactables" are objects where players can interact by pressing the interact button. These interactables will yield information that about the game's story which may be crucial late in the game. While some of them may prove to be useless, some of them will provide information needed in missions or to better understand the game's story.

Chocobo Rides

The Chocobo is an iconic creature in the Final Fantasy series. These chicken-like creatures can be ridden for faster travel time. In FFXV, the Chocobos can be unlocked in Chapter 3. They provide an alternative means of transportation aside from using the car. It will cost money to use them but they provide faster travel than the car.

Save Manually

Like most recent games, FFXV also has an auto-save feature where the game will automatically save when players reached a certain point in the game. To be reassured that the saved file is actually saved, perform a manual save. One of the ideal locations to save is before entering dungeons. This will provide players with the breather to start all over the dungeon if they find it difficult to navigate through.

Blocking Helps

Blocking is an important aspect in battle. For action games such as FFXV, blocking will actually help players when fighting off creatures. Blocking will reduce the damage the players will sustain. Failing to block will result in a massive reduce in the health of the players, forcing them to retreat or use up most of their items. To execute the block feature, hold down the Square button on the PS4 just before the enemy's attacks lands.

Find the Secret Dungeon

Like most games, developers tend to add hidden locations in their games. FFXV is also not exempted to this. In order to access this hidden dungeon, players must first finish the game before seeking out to find it. Most secret dungeons tend to have higher levelled monsters lurking inside as well as notable items which players can use or sell for a high price.
