Actor Anthony Michael Hall, known for his John Hughes films like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, was recently arrested after allegedly assaulting his neighbor. He could be facing a long prison sentence for this felony.

TMZ reports the 48-year-old actor was charged with felony assault with serious bodily injury by the Los Angeles District Attorney. Two months before the charge, a video of him was shown that he violently shove another man to the ground.

With the action shown in the video, the actor known for his geeky roles during his 1980's fame in comedy and coming of age films could be sentenced up to seven years in prison for the incident. The neighbor was allegedly left with an injured back and a broken wrist.

The alleged fight happened last mid-September after his neighbor left the condominium gate open, making the actor yell at him to close it. After the neighbor not listening to him, Hall went to the gate and closed it himself before sparking the physical assault.

The video, which was first surfaced on the credible gossiping site, shows Hall and his neighbor having a showdown and punching each other's faces before the actor pushed away his neighbor to the ground and walked away.

An undisclosed special circumstance was Hall to maximum jail term from four years to seven years.

This is not the first time Hall was involved in a dispute with his neighbors. He was first reported to scare away a number of neighbors in Playa del Rey, California back in 2011. TMZ reported that he kept shouting obscene statements and challenged to physical fights.

Nor Hall or his attorney gave a statement on the recent incident.
