British games developer Hello Games has announced on its website that an update to "No Man's Sky" is on the table. Dubbed "The Foundation Update," the new patch will add foundations of a base building. The company stresses the update's goal to bring a significant amount of changes to the core game.

According to CGMA Online, Hello Games wants to make amends with the inflated hype, broken promises, and unfinished releases that hounded "No Man's Sky" for the past several months. The Foundation Update will include the originally-promised base-building.

Hello Games' blog states that detailed patches will be released soon for "No Man's Sky". The company's team of designers updated the game with seven patches across both platforms.

The blog post mentions the work being done by a Hello Games team for the development, testing, and certification for the Foundation Update for "No Man's Sky." The company reiterates the update won't be its biggest yet but it hopes to auger more positive development for the game.

Hello Games addresses the controversy surrounding "No Man's Sky." The November 25 announcement highlights the attention given by the company to positive or negative feedback it received from disappointed fans. Hello Games hopes that these inputs will help improve the game.

"The discussion around "No Man's Sky" since release has been intense and dramatic." Hello Games reveals." We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about," the blog says.

"Forbes" magazine is all praises to Hello Games for responding to the entire "No Man's Sky" saga with dignity and class. It commended the company for not retaliating against the fans' vitriol. This development will likely put "No Man's Sky" near the top of almost every "Disappointing Games of the year" list for 2016.

Bravo Hello Games and Sean Murray!
